Usher Building Update
Since March 2024, the Usher Building on Edinburgh BioQuarter has been active with staff and students settling into their workspaces, operating within their respective neighbourhoods.
It is now ready to welcome the arrival of Usher Institute on-Campus masters students, including those on the flagship Master of Public Health programme, this September.
There have also been several high-profile visits to the building this year, including Neil Gray MSP.
Looking ahead, plans are underway for the official opening of the Usher Building, scheduled for early 2025. Events and activities will be unveiled, promising innovative opportunities for the Edinburgh BioQuarter community and beyond.

Meanwhile, ‘save the date’ for Saturday 28 September 2024, when both the Usher Building and Institute for Regeneration and Repair will participate in Edinburgh Doors Open Day. This event will provide an opportunity to visit these new developments o BioQuarter showcase health innovation, research, learning and opportunities for collaboration.
