Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC), The Exchange, 150 Morrison Street, Edinburgh EH3 8EE

This Congress will bring together scientists, clinicians, allied health staff and, most importantly, patients from all nations, in the same forum.

The programme has been designed to attract attendees with diverse expertise but common interest in advancing biologic and sociologic understanding of endometriosis, that rapidly translates to improved clinical care.

The keynote speakers have agreed to give thought provoking presentations on a diverse range of topics, including the latest ideas about why only some individuals suffer chronic pain and how we can have treatments with less side effects as well as on topics that are new to the endometriosis audience, such as the role of diet in pain perception and the use of social media as both a positive and negative in advocacy.

The bid team was led by the University of Edinburgh’s Professors Andrew Horne and Philippa Saunders, who are co-chairs of WCE2023.

Andrew Horne, Professor of Gynaecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Edinburgh’s MRC Centre for Reproductive Health said: “Being chosen to host WCE2023 is a recognition of the progress in endometriosis discovery that has come out of our excellent team from the MRC Centre for Reproductive Health and Centre for Inflammation Research.”
