New look for Usher Institute
The vision of the Usher Institute is: To catalyse the transformation of health in society by working with people, populations and their data.
We are growing and developing rapidly, as both a core Institute within the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine and as one of five delivery hubs within the University of Edinburgh’s Data-Driven Innovation Programme. Our new visual identity is crisp, modern, unfussy and confident.
Four Centres – one message
We have four Centres – Population Health Sciences being the oldest, with Global Health Research, Medical Informatics and most recently Biomedicine, Self and Society now sitting along with the Edinburgh Clinical Trials Unit and the Mackenzie Medical Centre (a local GP practice run through the Institute) – to make up our Institute.
Across these Centres, and through a wide variety of methodologies, approaches, and the collaborations of our ‘team science’ approach we work towards our one overarching vision, summarised as “Better health, better futures”.
